"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."  -- Colossians 4:12

The Wilderness Prayer Retreat Center, grounded in the Christian faith, offers opportunities for spiritual growth for both individuals and groups within a quiet, removed setting that overlooks Rice Lake.  It is sponsored by Youth For Christ and welcomes both youth and adults to come and encounter Christ as you listen and respond to God's Spirit.

The Wilderness Prayer Retreat Center is available for prayer retreats and other prayer gatherings.  WPRC offers:
  • Intercessory prayer evenings every Tuesday at 7:00 PM
  • A sacred place to be alone with God
  • A place for individual and group retreats
  • Quiet and remote space where you can get closer to Christ

"We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the Heavenly world, and can bring its power down to earth."
- Andrew Murray

"There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer."
- A. T. Pierson

"The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying.  He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work and prayerless religion.  He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray."
-- Samuel Chadwick

Come Spend Time at this Historical Site Where You Can:

Pray

I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling.  1 Timothy 2:8

Reflect and meditate on God's Word

Let the word of Christ dwell in your richly, as you teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  Colossians 3:16

Slip away and be alone with God

But he himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.  Luke 5:16

Listen to God

Be still and know that I am God.  Psalm 46:10

Come for an hour or a day

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere.  Psalm 84:10

Come and refresh your body, soul and mind as you indulge in the presence of God

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.  Psalm 95:1
